About Us

We first started as a group of Vietnamese students who want to practice English together while studying at Soongsil University, South Korea. It sounds a little bit strange because English was not widely used here and we supposed to speak Korean to communicate with people around. The problem is all of us are Master's or Ph.D. students and we have to write scientific papers in English. Living in South Korea made it harder for us to have a good result in academic life. After several months, we realized there are many more people like us, even Korean, who want to get better at English. And the English For Everyone Club was born.

We follow these four principles to make the club sustainable:
  • Respect for all: (other club members, organizers, etc.) despite levels of English, ages, and genres
  • Balance in life: if the club’s exercises are too much for you, just stop and do something else. EFE is not a school, it supposes to be fun
  • Be open: everything is transparent, and any issue will be resolved through open discussions
  • Sharing is learning: we are here to help each other
